Q. HOW DO I ORDER MY IMAGES?
A. For portrait clients: Approximately 2 weeks after your photo session, we will meet at my studio for an ordering appointment, where we will proof your images and I will guide you through your choices for wall art, prints, and cards. It’s going to be so much fun!
A. For headshot/musician clients: Approximately 10 business days after your photo session, I will email a link to your proofs. You can choose your favorites from there.
Q. WHO OWNS THE COPYRIGHT TO MY IMAGES?
A. According to U.S. Copyright Law, I do as the creator of the photographs. When you purchase any artwork/image files from your photo session, you’re actually purchasing a license to use the photography for personal/business use and not to sell for profit. You will need to sign a Release form for any artwork/image files you purchase from MW Photo & Design.
Q. DO YOU SELL HIGH-RESOLUTION DIGITAL IMAGES?
A. For portrait clients: In short, no. I’m very passionate about beautiful photography and believe that these memories should be proudly displayed in your home to share with family and friends instead of on a DVD sitting in a drawer somewhere collecting dust bunnies.
You were drawn to my work for a reason, so you can rest easy and trust my artistic vision and expertise in creating perfect photos which I know will look gorgeous displayed in your home. I’m very confident you will be thrilled when you see your finished custom artwork for the first time!
A. For headshot/musician clients: Yes – but only the specified number of images that comes with the session you purchased. I do not make all of the images/proofs from your photo session available for purchase.
Q. WHAT HAPPENS IF BAD WEATHER OCCURS ON THE DAY OF OUR SCHEDULED PHOTO SHOOT?
A. I will contact you to reschedule the photo session for another mutually agreeable date, time, and location. Unfortunately in Florida, one must assume that there will be wacky weather (especially during summer) and it’s best to just go with the flow. One thing I can tell you for sure is when we finally have our photo session, it will be worth any minor weather-related inconvenience because we will all have so much fun and the photos will look great!
For headshot clients: If you’re on a tight schedule, we can always hold the photo session in my small home studio using backdrops.
Q. WHEN IS PAYMENT FOR CUSTOM ARTWORK DUE FOR PORTRAIT CLIENTS?
A. Payment for any custom artwork is due in full at the time your order is placed. This will be done through PayPal® with a credit card or debit card.
Q. HOW DO I PAY THE CREATIVE FEE TO SECURE MY DESIRED PHOTO SESSION DATE?
A. After we agree upon a date, time, and location for your photoshoot, I will email you an invoice from PayPal®. Please note that the Creative Fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.
Q. I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE I WANT THE PHOTO SESSION. CAN YOU HELP ME FIND THE PERFECT LOCATION?
A. I sure can! Part of our pre-shoot consultation (held on a date prior to your photoshoot) is used to discuss the perfect location for your needs. We will also discuss wardrobe selection and some preliminary ideas for your photoshoot.
